Thigh-skimming hemlines

Thigh-skimming hemlines were never totally gone, but this fall they’re back as a bona-fide trend. (However, democracy reigns: short, knee-length and longer are all represented in fall collections, though the latter is less newsworthy.) The looks? Longish tops with short a-line or pleated skirts; short sheath dresses; sexy strapless sheaths; all to wear with natural-tone hosiery and boots (ankle or tight knee) or skinny-heel pumps. In short, legs on parade.

Four steps to show-off legs

1. You worked out like crazy to get in shape for swimsuit season --- now there’s motivation to keep up your efforts. Short hemlines are a great excuse for forging ahead on a year-round fitness habit.

2. Sheer natural hosiery is a key part of the new short-hemline chic, but it’s not nearly as forgiving as opaque black. Get serious and exfoliate--- gleam--- the skin on your legs while you moisturize, using Moisture Therapy Alpha Hydroxy Body Lotion.

3. Improve the appearance of skin in areas prone to cellulite with New Figure Cellulite Body Cream. It’s been clinically proven to show results in four weeks.

4. Use Skin-So-Soft Moisturizing Suncare Sunless Tanning Lotion, if you’re self-conscious about the shade or evenness of your legs’ skin tone. Think of it as being like foundation for your legs, used with just as light a touch as you use foundation on your face. You don’t want your legs to look as though they don’t go with the rest of you.
