Put your foot forward

Your feet need special care, just as your hands do:

A pedicure is a treat your feet deserve, just as your hands need a manicure. For a quick "how-to guide" on giving yourself a manicure, check out the instructions in Nail Basics in our Beauty Secrets section. To help you apply polish to your nails, try separating the toes using a foam rubber toe separator: or weave a tissue in and out between toes to make it easier to apply nail enamel.

To relax tired, aching feet, soak them in a footbath; moisturize at the same time.

Refresh hot, tired feet with a cooling foot spray; use deodorant or talc to help keep feet dry, comfortable and fresh all day.

Give feet some free-form exercise by walking barefoot at least 15 minutes daily. If you're near a beach, walk barefoot in the sand to slough off rough, callused skin.
Alternate heel heights of shoes to keep leg and feet muscles well-toned and stretched.
