Must Have Micro Fringes

Super-short, C-curved fringes are the frame for faces this season.

If you’re looking for a cool alternative to this season's mega-manes, bangs are the best bet. The freshest fringes are cut on a new geometric angle, arching up from the temple to the center of the forehead, to create a dramatic elliptical silhouette.

Before you let your stylist snip, make sure they think your hairline can handle this short, dramatic look. If hair is thin through the front, don't go too short-add a bit of length to the fringe. Your stylist will also start the cut further back on the crown, to ensure a thick, solid bang.

"Color is also great for adding the illusion of thickness," Leung advises. "Color the fringe a solid shade, then places some chunks in contrasting colors at the crown, or towards the back of the head, to break up the cut. Don't be afraid to let your stylist experiment!"
