How to spot makeup that’s sure to flatter

Choice is a blessing, but too may choices can be overwhelming like in makeup. Sometimes you simply want to pick a color and know-how required. Here are two easy cues.

Cue# 1: Sheerness counts. The more transparent the formula, the more flattering and easier to wear it will be. This applies to lip, eye and cheek color. True color powder Blush for instance.

Cue# 2: Brown, bronze or yellow undertones are best for omni-flattery. As opposed to red undertones, which look good on only a few complexions? The cue applies to foundation, powder and concealer as well as color cosmetics.

Look for color-names involving wine, brandy, apricot, peach, berry, pecan, earth, mauve, taupe, toffee, coffee, chocolate, bronze, gold, ginger.
